March 23, 2026 By Molly Miossi

The six-episode series premieres on Scripps News on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET with guest Don Lemon

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Alisyn Camerota, author and award-winning journalist formerly of CNN and Fox News, will host a new program on Scripps News, the national streaming news network owned by The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ:SSP). “Connected with Alisyn Camerota” will feature one-on-one conversations with sports leaders, politicians, musicians, journalists and regular people caught in extraordinary situations. The 30-minute show premieres on Friday, March 27, at 8 p.m. ET and will run for six consecutive weeks.

“Scripps News is the natural home for these conversations because it values depth, connection and authenticity,” Camerota said. “Viewers will be able to connect on a deeper level with my guests and understand the challenging moments that have defined their lives. By blending the credibility of Scripps’ national journalism with the humanity of personal storytelling, we’re creating something distinctive for viewers.”

Jon Leiberman, a veteran media producer, correspondent and executive who’s previously held roles with CNN, “America’s Most Wanted” and SiriusXM, among others, and Alexandra Zuckerman, Scripps News’ director of operations and specials, will serve as the show’s executive producers.

Guests for the series include:

  • March 27: Don Lemon, former CNN anchor, who was recently arrested by the Department of Justice for covering a Minnesota protest against ICE.
  • April 3: Judge Esther Salas, a federal judge who changed the law to enhance security for judges nationwide after her only child was murdered in a targeted attack.
  • April 10: Mike Eruzione, the captain of the 1980 Winter Olympics U.S. team who scored the winning goal that defeated the Soviet Union in the “Miracle on Ice” game.
  • April 17: Eli Sherabi, an Israeli kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, and held captive for 491 days, who now shares his story of survival and resilience.
  • April 24: Art Alexakis, frontman of the smash rock band Everclear.
  • May 1: Gabby Giffords, a former U.S. representative who was seriously wounded in a 2011 shooting when a gunman fired on a group of people, killing six and wounding 13.

Camerota, who joined Scripps News in January as a special events anchor, brings decades of experience to Scripps News and has interviewed a wide range of world leaders and cultural icons, from President Donald Trump to the band KISS. Her first assignment with Scripps News was an exclusive interview with her former CNN colleague Don Lemon.

The new series comes on the heels of Scripps News’ 23% year-over-year increase in viewership across all free ad-supported streaming television platforms. Scripps News Vice President Matt Simon attributes the network’s momentum to growing consumer demand for objective, reliable national news outside traditional viewing platforms.

“Our focus on streaming and a more relatable kind of national news product is paying off as consumers look for quality national journalism in a format and experience that fits their lives,” Simon said. “In 2026, we’re building on that momentum by adding more insightful programming, including ‘Connected with Alisyn Camerota,’ and deepening our connections with viewers through the Scripps News Group, which pairs national analysis with the local reporting that resonates in communities.”

Adding depth and expertise
In addition to Camerota, Scripps News also announced award-winning contributors and high-impact programming in 2026:

  • Danny Moses, a Wall Street insider chronicled in Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short,” joined Scripps News as a financial contributor and hosts a new weekly series, “The Danny Moses Show.” New episodes premiere on Fridays at 7 p.m. ET.
  • Del Walters, a 22-time Emmy Award winner, has rejoined Holly Firfer to anchor Scripps News daily programming.
  • Jason Bellini’s acclaimed long-form series “In the Shadows” has been renewed for another season, taking viewers to the front lines of the most pressing international crises of our time, finding the stories of hope and humanity still persevering in the shadows.
  • Holly Firfer’s “Caught on Clips” will enter its third season later this year, presenting the wildest, wackiest and most jaw-dropping videos from dangerous severe weather to heart-stopping close calls to adorable animal antics, all caught on video.
  • Jessica DeLuise, a certified culinary medicine specialist and Emmy Award-winning television chef, joined Scripps News as a health and wellness contributor.
