Foundation grants support journalism education that gives students hands-on experience as well as training to help professional journalists refresh their skill sets.

The American Society of News Editors for its Diversity Leadership Institute;
CUNY for the Product Thinking for News Workshop
Grants range from $5,000 to $7,500.
Grants requests must be submitted in writing by April 30 for consideration during the year’s first grants period and by Sept. 15 for second-half consideration.
Successful grant applications are typically awarded in late June and December.
