Jan. 7, 2026 By Molly Miossi

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Danny Moses, a Wall Street insider chronicled in Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short,” will join Scripps News as a financial contributor and host of a new weekly series, “The Danny Moses Show.”

The show premieres on Friday, Jan. 23, and the debut episode will feature Moses’ “The Big Short” partners Vincent Daniel and Porter Collins. Together, they’ll share candid insights, opinions and behind-the-scenes stories about how they saw the 2008 financial crisis coming and what events they’re watching right now.

Each weekly episode will feature in-depth guest interviews and spotlight the financial and economic stories viewers are talking about, the ones they should be following and why they matter to every consumer.

“Whether you’re invested in the markets or just a consumer trying to make sense of the financial world, I want to help decipher complex topics and provide clear and practical explanations that both inform and entertain,” Moses said. “Scripps News shares my commitment to simplifying complex issues. Together, we’ll empower viewers and give them the tools they need to understand what is happening in the world of money, policy, pop culture and sports.”

Moses, who founded investment firm Moses Ventures, brings more than 30 years of market experience and a track record of calling attention to structural market issues. He also hosts the weekly podcast “On The Tape” and co-authors the Substack “What Are We Doing: Contrarians At The Gate.”

“Danny brings a distinct point of view, built on a career of anticipating trends and challenging conventional thinking,” said Matt Simon, vice president of Scripps News. “His ability to explain complex topics in easy-to-understand terms makes him the perfect trusted partner to expand our financial coverage.”

Episodes of “The Danny Moses Show” will become available on Fridays at 7 p.m. ET. Viewers can watch on all Scripps News streaming platforms including the Scripps News YouTube channel. The program will join the network’s weekday lineup: “The National Report” (6 a.m.), “Morning Rush” (7 a.m.–noon), “Scripps News On The Scene” (noon–5 p.m.), “Happening Now In America” (5 p.m.) and “Caught on Clips” (Fridays at 7:30 p.m.).
