WASHINGTON, D.C. – A majority of Americans surveyed (64%) oppose President-elect Trump pardoning Jan. 6 protesters, according to a new Scripps News/Ipsos poll examining post-election voter sentiment on a range of key campaign issues. The survey also found a widespread opposition (72%) to restricting women from participating in military combat.
The survey, which was conducted last weekend, also found Americans are hopeful Trump will quickly improve their economic outlook but remain deeply divided on his campaign’s key promises.

The Scripps News/Ipsos poll was conducted by Ipsos from Nov. 15-17, using the probability-based KnowledgePanel®, the largest and most well-established online probability-based panel that is representative of the adult U.S. population. This poll is based on a nationally representative probability sample of 1,031 adults ages 18 or older. The margin of error is +/- 3.3 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.
