Robert (Bob) Oestreicher is senior vice president, corporate counsel for The E.W. Scripps Company.
In this role, Bob provides legal support and advice to management and the board of directors regarding corporate and securities law and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and real estate transactions. He also serves as the company’s corporate secretary, supporting management and Scripps’ board of directors in quarterly meeting planning and execution.
Bob came to Scripps in 2023 from Tire Discounters, where he advised its executive team on business strategy and growth as the company’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary. He also led their in-house team of attorneys and real estate and construction professionals. In his 11 years with Tire Discounters, he steered the company’s efforts to more than triple the number of stores across the company’s footprint through acquisitions and new construction. Prior to that, he was an associate with Baker & Hostetler LLP.
Bob earned his bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his juris doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Bob lives in Cincinnati with his wife, Jenny, and two children. He is heavily involved in his community, having volunteered with Easterseals Redwood, Mayerson JCC, JVS Careers, Jewish Community Relations Council, Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and Dan Beard Council’s Professional Leadership Network.
