Beth Welter is chief of staff for The E.W. Scripps Company.
In this role, Beth serves as the strategic advisor for and driver of major initiatives and projects for the CEO and C-suite, including the strategic planning process, program management and change management as well as responsibilities for the quarterly board of directors’ meetings.
Prior to stepping into the chief of staff role in August 2024, Beth held several roles in corporate communications with multiple responsibilities, including internal communications, change management, crisis communications and executive communications. Her most recent role was senior vice president, strategic planning and communications.
Before joining Scripps in 2013, Beth worked in corporate communications for Fifth Third Bancorp and The Kroger Company. She earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Northern Kentucky University.
Beth’s past volunteer work includes YWCA, DCCH Center for Children and Families, Social Venture Partners and Family Nurturing Center, where she previously served as board chair and marketing committee chair. Beth is a graduate of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s WE Succeed class of 2015 and Leadership Cincinnati class 45.
