Rebecca Riegelsberger is treasurer, senior vice president, tax for The E.W. Scripps Company. She is responsible for managing the company’s cash flow and debt, minimizing financial risk and overseeing all aspects of the tax function. She also has oversight for financial investments, liquidity and capital growth and allocation.
Becky has been with Scripps since 2015, serving as vice president of tax before her role was expanded in 2017 to also include treasury operations. From 2009 to 2015, she served as tax manager, then tax director for Scripps Networks Interactive. Becky began her career as a tax analyst at Duke Energy.
Becky earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a master’s in business administration from the University of Cincinnati. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She is a board member of Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub where she serves as chair of the board. She also is a board member of March of Dimes Ohio Market, Allied Construction Industries, UpSpring, and the Scripps Howard Foundation where she serves as Treasurer.
Becky was recognized in 2018 by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a Forty Under 40 and as Xavier University’s Mentor of the Year; in 2019 by Media Financial Management as a Person to Watch; and in 2017 by Profile Magazine for her efforts in community and philanthropy.
She and her husband, Jason, have twin daughters.
