Dean Littleton is executive vice president of media broadcast operations at The E.W. Scripps Company. He oversees Scripps’ local and national news operations, streaming and digital for the company and local and networks engineering and operations.
Prior to his current role, Littleton was senior vice president of Local Media, leading local media and managing affiliate relationships. Littleton was previously general manager of Scripps’ ABC affiliate KMGH Denver7 and KCDO Local3 in Denver. During his time as general manager of KMGH, the station won numerous national journalism awards including the National Edward R. Murrow Overall Excellence Award for Large Markets in 2019 and 2020 and the Heartland Emmy Award for Overall Excellence in 2020.
Before joining Scripps in 2017, he was general manager at WATE-TV in Knoxville (2013-2017) and general sales manager at WVLT-TV in Knoxville (2008-2013), KUSA-TV in Denver (2007-2008) and WBIR-TV in Knoxville (2000-2007). He started his career as a news photographer/editor at WBIR
Littleton serves as vice chair of the ABC Affiliate Board of Governors, treasurer of the Colorado Broadcasters Association and previously served as a board member of the Scripps Howard Fund, the philanthropic arm of The E.W. Scripps Company.
Littleton is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He lives in Denver with his wife, Amber, and daughter.
