Meredith Delaney
Director of Philanthropic Strategies

Meredith Delaney is the director of philanthropic Strategies for the Scripps Howard Fund. 

Meredith currently oversees programs and projects related to the Fund’s community giving initiatives, including the “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign.

Prior to joining the Scripps Howard Fund in 2017, Meredith spent a decade in fundraising and in nonprofit industries. 

She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati. She also earned a certificate in nonprofit executive leadership from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. 

Meredith has participated in several leadership programs across Greater Cincinnati including: LEAD Clermont, YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Rising Stars and the Cincinnati Chamber’s WE Lead program.  She’s currently the chair of the Innovation Group for the Visiting Committee at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media. 

Meredith said working for the Scripps Howard Fund combines several of her passions: providing resources for students in need, journalism and her love of books.
