COVID-19 Employee Assistance Fund
The Scripps Howard Foundation has created a fund to help qualified Scripps employees who are adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The fund may provide up to $1,000 per employee for urgent needs.

Full- and part-time regular employees of The E.W. Scripps Company can request assistance if their title falls below director level. Employees may request help for purchasing food and basic household supplies; housing-related assistance, including but not limited to mortgage, rent and utility payments; childcare or eldercare costs; and other needs, excluding medical, which will be considered on a case by case basis.

How to apply
Employees can submit a request by using the submittable application here

Employee matching and volunteer grants
The Scripps Howard Foundation is interested in the causes that interest Scripps employees. Through the Bob Scripps Community Fund, we empower Scripps employees to maximize their service to nonprofit organizations through our volunteer gifts and their financial contributions to nonprofits through our matching gift program.

Scripps employees can apply for up to $1,250 twice annually to support organizations where they give their time and money. You decide how to allocate your gifts – all to volunteer gifts, all to matching gifts, or a portion of your match to each.

Application deadlines are May 31 and Nov. 30 annually.

Whether they work in Baltimore, Tampa, Milwaukee, Bakersfield or any town in between, one common thread unites Scripps employees: they do well by doing good. This certainly holds true in their work life – and the work they do in communities.

The Scripps Howard Foundation is proud to showcase examples of how Scripps employees who give of their time and money to organizations they care about.

Market Community Fund Grant
