Bob Carson, 62, is vice president and chief information officer for The E.W. Scripps Company. Bob is responsible for the company’s enterprise technology strategy and operations.
His career has spanned more than 30 years and various industries, exclusively in information technology roles. He has worked for several Fortune 1000 firms, with a primary emphasis throughout the years on business technology. During more than two decades with the company, Bob has held several IT leadership positions in project management, planning and analysis, applications management and enterprise architecture.
Bob has served on the Cincinnati advisory board of Per Scholas, a nonprofit whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty and drive positive social change in underserved communities by providing training and workforce development to place individuals in sustainable technology careers. He served as a member of the Ohio University IT Advisory Board for the McClure School of Information and Telecommunications Systems, one of the schools within the Scripps College of Communications. Bob also serves on the Northern Kentucky University College of Informatics’ IT Leadership Forum, an invitation-only group of IT leaders from companies in the Tri-State region.
Bob received a degree in information systems from the University of Cincinnati.
