Bob Carson, 52, is vice president and chief information officer for The E. W. Scripps Company.

Prior to overseeing the company’s corporate information technology (IT), Bob served as the executive director of enterprise information systems, responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s business systems and back-office applications.

During his 18 years with the company, Bob has held several IT leadership positions in project management, planning and analysis, applications management and architecture.

Bob began his professional career as a computer operator and programmer. He has more than 30 years of broad experience in the IT field, working for several Fortune 1000 consulting firms and corporations.

Bob received a degree in information systems from the University of Cincinnati.
