Doug Lyons, 51, is vice president and controller of The E. W. Scripps Company.

Prior to accepting his new role, Doug had served as vice president of finance and administration for Interactive Media since 2006. In this capacity, he worked with the finance teams at Shopzilla and uSwitch.

Doug joined Scripps in 1985 as assistant controller and became director of financial reporting in 1995. Prior to joining Scripps, Doug was an audit manager for Deloitte.

Doug graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Ohio.
