Greater Cincinnati Fund

Reaching out to the Greater Cincinnati community to help improve quality of life in the home region of our parent company is the purpose of the Foundation's Greater Cincinnati Fund. Grants awarded focus on education, social services, civic, and arts and cultural affairs. Grant decisions are made by a committee of company and Foundation representatives.

In 2009 priority is given to supporting nonprofits that are providing the basics such as food, shelter and medicine to individuals and families struggling in the current economy. Scripps Howard Foundation is participating along with 18 other funders in the Weathering the Economic Storm Fund administered by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Please call or email Patty Cottingham before submitting a proposal.

For information about the program, contact Patty Cottingham, vice president/administration, Scripps Howard Foundation at 513-977-3847 or patty.cottingham@scripps.com.
